Climate Aware Photography:
A Certified Course
Project Groundswell is pleased to organise a three-session intensive course on sustainable, carbon-aware photographic practice. This online course is led by Helena Lee and is certified by the Carbon Literacy Project. Participants will be helped to develop their unique, tailored Sustainable Action Plan which will be reviewed by Helena Lee and submitted to the Carbon Literacy Project for Certification.
On successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Certificate from the Carbon Literacy Project and a digital badge to show they are a ‘Climate-Aware Photographer’.

Course Dates
The course will take place over three, 2.5 hour-sessions in September 2025. In addition to the online time, participants will also be expected to undertake some homework.

The working language is English.
Attending the course is free of charge. Certification charges by the Carbon Literacy Project will also be covered by Project Groundswell.

About the Trainer
Helena Lee is a photographic artist and amateur gardener who celebrates nature through her artwork. Helena runs her own photographic business which is led by her commitment to environmental sustainability. She is the author of 'Climate Aware Photography', a course and certification scheme for photographers to demonstrate their commitment to reducing their carbon footprint and building an environmentally sustainable practice. 'Climate Aware Photography' meets the Carbon Literacy Standard and is accredited by The Carbon Literacy Project.
